The Women's Empowerment Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies held an awareness workshop entitled "The Impact of Radiological Tests on Pregnant Women," delivered by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Baqer, a lecturer in the Department of Radiology as part of the unit's continues efforts to spread health awareness and empower women in medical and scientific fields.
The workshop, which was attended by a number of students, professors and specialists, included several topics, including the importance of radiological examinations, their types, their impact on the health of the mother and fetus, and methods of prevention and risk reduction. It also provided important advice to medical staff on how to deal with pregnant women in radiological examination environments, in a way that ensures achieving a balance between the need for medical diagnosis and the safety of the mother and fetus.
